About Us
H-Level strives to be a leader in high-performance architecture in Naples, Florida, as well as nationally and internationally. The company philosophy is simple — we aim to create High-Level, beautiful, and unique architecture that is seamlessly and harmoniously integrated into the environment.

Growing up in a family of architects, artists, and inventors, design has always been part of Brandt’s DNA. His grandfather, Arthur Brandt Henning, was a renowned architect in Indiana whose work left a lasting mark on the built environment — and a legacy of thoughtful, purpose-driven design that continues to influence Brandt’s approach today.

As architectural interns — Michaela arriving from Europe and Brandt from the American Midwest — they meet through design, art, and community in Southwest Florida, unknowingly laying the groundwork for the place that becomes home and later the foundation for H-Level Architecture.

Founded in 2010 as a one-person studio by Michaela Henning, H-Level grew steadily over the years. In 2013, Brandt Henning joined as a partner, expanding the practice into a collaborative studio supported by a small core team and a trusted network of consultants.

With over 300 projects completed, H-Level reflects on 15 years of thoughtful growth and design exploration. The firm’s work spans new custom homes, residential renovations, commercial projects, planning studies, and consulting — ranging from modest, budget-conscious designs to complex, high-end residences. Throughout its evolution, H-Level has remained committed to community engagement, dedicating time each year to pro bono and community-focused work.

Building on fifteen years of experience, H-Level enters its next chapter with a refreshed brand identity and a new website. This evolution reflects the studio’s growth, values, and clarity of purpose — refining how H-Level communicates its work while staying rooted in its core principles of thoughtful design, sustainability, resilience, and human-centered spaces.

Brandt and his team are amazing! From concept to reality the attention to detail is the best I’ve ever dealt with. I’ve built a lot of homes and by far he’s exceeding my expectations. Building and designing homes is not an easy task but when it’s H-Level it brings the experience to another level.
